welcome to charulata.org - embracing sensitivity in medicine

my why.

i’m a doctor, a fur-mom, a wife/masi/sister, and a very introverted HSP (highly sensitive person) on a slow, steady, and deep dive into how being an introvert and HSP affect my everything, including my love of medicine.

i was also diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at the age of 15.  i’ve noodled about the intersection of introversion, sensitivity, and chronic illness and believe there is much to be learned as we continue to explore these links and modify our practice.

i invite you to join the conversation if the above resonates with you.

progress report.

i’m embracing a slower pace of everything after spending 2020 and 2021 being an infectious disease doctor during a pandemic.  for now, this project is a website and a mailing list. in the coming weeks, you’ll see more links and information posted as well as a social media presence for like-minded (or curious) humans to join.

i look forward to exploring with you.
